BRANDING, BRAND COLLATERAL, WEBISTE & APP:
I was tasked with rebranding the identity for my clients urban music/media company. The big challenge with this project was taking a brand name & overall feel that was dated, & envisioning something fresh, current & timeless – all while keeping the brand’s name in tact. I took the brand & gave it a complete overhaul starting with the font selection. Instead of the grungier cliche’ urban feel that they were currently using, I developed a bold, modern & more sophisticated look, without losing the urban edge. Part of this process was my decision to develop a 3 faceted logo set (Word + Mark, Word + Slogan + Mark, & Initial + Mark), with an icon that could represent either logo form used, as well as be it’s own stand alone element. The thought process behind the icon is that, used in a stand alone format, it would encompass & subliminally link to their brand. Being an inspirational urban brand, words given to me by my client like energy & empowerment were what drove me to create the bolt. The ultimate goal being that over time their icon will become their recognizable icon i.e; Nike (Swoosh), McDonalds (Arches), or NBC (Peacock).
I designed all visual aspects of their website as well as developed & executed several graphic campaigns to coincide with their new branding.
The client purchased another online brand & merged it with it’s own. I worked hand in hand with their web developer to develop a clean & functional website experience that would leave both long time subscribers/visitors of both brands happy with the transition.
Working hand in hand with their web developer, we made sure that their website was optimized & responsive across the board from Androids, iPhones, iPads & tablets.
Working hand in hand with their web developer, we created an official JTH app that can be downloaded across all app markets. The app delivers a fun & inviting user experience, & also allows the user to stream the brands 24/7 Online radio stream.
I designed & set up an outstanding set of corporate business cards along with stationery, i.e, letterhead, envelopes, folders, etc. that coincided with my clients new branding & identity.A
